Meet David and Jaye Arsement: The Heart and Soul of Rest Yourself
David and Jaye Arsement are more than just owners of Rest Yourself River Ranch—they are the driving force behind both the Ranch and Rest Yourself Family Ministries (RYFM). Their story is one of faith, family, and a deep commitment to providing a space for rest, renewal, and connection.
Their journey began long before the purchase of the Ranch. In 2009, David and Jaye founded RYFM with a mission to support individuals and families through Christ-centered care. Their ministry focuses on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit by providing holistic support—physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual—to help people reach their fullest potential.
In 2019, their path intersected with the historic Seybold Ranch in an unexpected yet deeply personal way. The property, rich in history, became available for sale, and it felt like more than just an opportunity—it felt like coming home.
Jaye’s father, affectionately known as Bampa, had a personal connection to the Seybold family. Years ago, he rented the barn and arena from Mr. Seybold to use for horse therapy, a practice that became a cornerstone of his work in serving others. When the ranch became available, it felt like the perfect continuation of that legacy—a place where healing and growth could continue to flourish.
For David and Jaye, the decision to purchase the Ranch was about more than preserving history—it was about creating a space for ministry to thrive. Today, the Ranch serves as a sustainable way to fund RYFM, ensuring that the ministry continues its mission without the need for private donations—a remarkable testament to their resourcefulness and dedication.
At Rest Yourself Family Ministries, David and Jaye continue to walk alongside individuals and families, providing a safe, supportive environment where they can experience restoration, reconciliation, and renewal through the love of Jesus Christ. With accommodations for up to 60 residents, their ministry is a beacon of hope for those seeking redemption and self-care in a faith-based community.
The Ranch is more than just a venue; it’s a place where lives are changed, and the Arsements’ hearts are woven into every corner of the property. Their story is one of faith, family, and a commitment to creating a legacy of hope for generations to come.
