A Texas Original

Formally known as the Seybold Ranch, the architect was the first mid-century designed guest ranch of its kind in Texas. Built and designed by Elmer Seybold with collaboration from renowned architect, Charles Dilbeck

The Ranch offered a modern western glamping experience with rodeos, Olympic style swimming pool, tennis, hiking, fishing, boating, guided nature tours, 15 miles of horse trails, racetrack, horseshoe courts, rifle, pistol, skeet and archery ranges.

The Ranch entertained the elite in the members only, El Ranchero Club, which was rumored to also operate as a speakeasy and casino.

Legend has it that Hollywood royalty such as John Wayne, Betty Davis and Ronald Reagan visited during the decadent boom of Mineral Wells.

The mid-century Great Lodge furniture is original Circa 1946 custom designed and built by Habitant Furniture Co.

The giant courtyard was once adorned with one of the largest swimming pools in the south and filled almost the entire space. All of the custom clay floor-tiles used in construction were made exclusively for the ranch and have now been lovingly and carefully restored

130 original custom wood windows in the Lodge and courtyard rooms have been carefully restored and rebuilt onsite. 3,600 feet of rope was used as decorative molding on the interior and much of it remains today.
